Cast your beady eye here.....!!

On our crop days we usually run 8 classes and alternate between all of them being scrapbook pages and adding a project class. The next crop day on 20th November is one where we will have a project and we have looked to create something different for everyone rather than the usual mini album. We are so excited we just had to let you know that this time we have a gorgeous class called 'Scrapbook Jewellery' where we will be making a number of gorgeous beaded projects to embellish your layouts and albums. So no paper this time - just masses of beads and a host of twiddley bits including charms, chain and wire!!
Keep checking here for news of when this class will be going on sale - its on its way and shouldn't be too long now.
If you haven't yet booked your place on the crop day, we still have places and we hope that this teaser will help you to make your mind up!
You can book online via our website at www.totalpapercrafts.co.uk under 'Crops & Classes' and only crop day delegates will be able to book this and the other 7 classes we have in store for the day.
We hope to see you there!

Kit 2 for September

Kit 2 for September is a bright and colourful single page using Jenni Bowlin papers and a whole pack of matching super cute journaling cards! There's something about the turquoise/orange combination that makes you smile and its surprising just how many different styles of photos go with this page. The design uses a single 6" x 4" landscape photo but could accomodate one landscape or even two 6" x 4" in either orientation.
The kit includes cardstock, 3 sheets of patterned paper, a whole pack of journaling cards, bobble trim, adhesive crystals and a cardstock template. You'll also need orange and turquoise inkpads, 3d foam pads and brads for flower centres.

Next Kent crop date announced!

After having a great time at our crop last Sunday we have been inundated with requests for another before Christmas and so we are pleased to announce that the next crop will be on Saturday 20th November. Booking is now open online at www.totalpapercrafts.co.uk under 'crops & classes'.
We will once again be offering eight classes for delegates to choose from, seven will be scrapbook pages and one will be a project. We will have two guest designers to offer classes in different styles and from a number of perspectives. As usual you will have a dedicated cropping space for the day in the main cropping hall and classes will be held in a seperate classroom. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are unlimited throughout the day and we will have afternoon tea with a choice of cakes! The shop will also be on hand all day for those essential purchases!
This will be our last crop for 2010 so if you fancy a day dedicated to yourself and your craft then why not join us for a great day!

Sneak peeks of the classes for Sunday

With all of the crop kits now sold out here we go with the class peeks for Sunday together with details of the photos sizes and any additional tools you will need for the class. Please try to bring along photos that are as close as possible to the suggested number and sizes as there really isn't enough time in the classroom to redesign the page around more/less/bigger/smaller - don't worry if you don't have the right photos for Sunday, most can be added after the fact!

Not so Shabby Chic
This gorgeous page is perfect for oodles of photos in a range of sizes; a 5" x 3" landscape, a 3" x 2" landscape, 2.75" x 2" portrait and two 3" x 3" photos.
You'll need to pack ink pads in pale pink and green (sample used Stampin Up in Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery), EK Success Retro Flower punch large and medium (available in the classroom), a few mini brads for flowers, a spritz bottle and 3d foam pads.

Flower Frenzy

Rich purples and browns contrast with cream and fresh blue in this pretty and fun page that would suit feminine photos. The sample uses one 6" x 4" portrait photo and two 3" x 4" landscape pics (these can be swapped for a second 6" x 4" portrait if you prefer). You'll need a burgundy inkpad (sample used Yinks in Indigo), a craft knife and cutting mat for some optional intricate cutting, 6-7 brads for flower centres, 3d foam pads, a scrap of narrow ribbon or some embroidery floss and some optional adhesive crystals.
A Whiter Shade of Pale

This project uses two landscape 6" x 4" photos and the grey and white colour scheme would work with soft/natural/romantic or feminine photos. You will need to bring along a grey inkpad (the sample uses Distress Ink in Pumice), a small single hole punch (sample used the small hole on the Crop-a-dile), 3d foam pads, a decorative border punch, 2.5" circle or scalloped circle punch, 1.5" and 1.25" circle punches (punches will be available in the classroom) and a pair of tweezers.

Travelling Bright

In this class we will attempt to complete two single pages - we doubt that we'll get there tho so expect to just do one and complete the second one later!! Each page uses a single 6" x 4" landscape photo - bright primary colours would work really well, you'll need a strong photo to work with the bright colours and patterns in the kit.

As well as the photo, you'll need a black inkpad (sample used Yinks in Charcoal), stapler, double sided tape, 3d foam pads, needle and black thread - the sample had black Dymo journaling strips which is an option if you have one.

In a Swirl

The blue and green tones of this class are perfect for all sorts of nature/outdoors/portraits and so much more! You'll need a single 6" x 4" landscape photo although a 7" x 5" landscape or even a couple of 6" x 4" photos would also work on this design.

You will also need a blue and a green inkpad (sample used Yinks in Pale Aqua and Colorbox in Lime Pastel), a deep edger/border punch (sample used Martha Stewart deep edger punch), a scrap of cream card, a butterfly punch and a 1" circle punch (punches will be available in the classroom) and of course you'll need 3d foam pads!

Le Chateau

For Claire's class you'll need one 4" x 6" photo in colour or black & white with a white border (the sample photos have a slight sepia tint so this would also suit heritage photos), plus you'll need four smaller photos of around 2" x 3" in a mix of portrait and landscape with white borders - any selection will do.

Pack a light brown and a black inkpad (Colorbox Creamy Brown and Charcoal were used on the sample), an edge distresser, narrow double sided tape, glue doys and a couple of brads for flowers together with 3d foam pads.

Back to Nature

The greens and browns in this kit would be perfect for any photos that feature nature/outdoors/growing stuff! You'll need one 7" x 5" landscape photo although a 6" x 4" would also work. You should pack a brown inkpad (sample used Colorbox Chestnut Brown), a spritz bottle, a cocktail stick or pokey tool, small hole punches (sample used a Crop-a-dile and a 3/8" circle punch which will be available in the classroom) and 3d foam pads.

Back to Basics

Claire has opted to go back to basics with this class and concentrate on what its all about - getting photos onto your pages with the minimum of stress. So she has designed two pages with her kit and she assures us that you'll get them done!!

You'll need a single 6" x 4" portrait photo in either black & white or colour (sample used a black and white pic with a hint of red) for LO1 and three 2.5" x 2.5" photos for LO2. These three photos can be either colour or black & white as the kit colours of white/kraft/black and red work with so many photos.

For LO1 you'll need - light brown and dark brown inkpads (sample used Colorbox Creamy Brown and Chestnut Roan), 3d foam pads, brown or black journaling pen, edge distresser and a corner rounder.

For LO2 - paint dabbers or acrylic paint and brush in cream and dark brown (sample used Ranger dabbers in Lake Mist and Espresso which will be available in class), dark brown inkpad (sample used Colorbox Chestnut Roan), gue dots or narrow double sided tape, 3d foam pads, brown or black journaling pen.
